I've discovered something wonderful! It combines my love of flowers, printmaking papers, and instant gratification! It's sort of like rubbing a coin with graphite to get the imprint, only with flowers! And it leaves a beautiful impression right away- not like my previous attempts at pressing flowers, which I've learned takes OVER A WEEK TO DRY COMPLETELY, LEST IT BE RUINED AND A POOR FLOWER HATH GIVEN HIS HEAD FOR NOTHING!
Here is a test sample! Now that I've discovered the process, I'm sure there will be millions of flower-rubbings to litter my home. Must remember to clip almost-spent blooms only, because I don't want my garden looking sad and colorless just for the sake of arts and crafts!!
Ah, dilemmas.
Pansy and Violas: is it just me, or is my art-making getting more and more old-lady-ish by the second? Yes.
